Pricing
How much does mixing and mastering cost?
Some people need the whole song mixed and mastered. Some have it mixed already and just need the master. Some would rather do it themselves. All three are below, and the price you see is the price you pay. No hourly billing, no charging you again every time you want something changed.
Whichever one you pick, I do the work myself. No team, no assistant, no passing your song down the line. That is a little over 3,000 records so far, for artists in 56 countries, and the credits are public on Muso.ai if you want to check.

What the market charges
You will see mixing and mastering advertised anywhere from ten dollars to well over a thousand. The price on its own tells you very little, so here is honestly what you are getting at each level.
What you actually get at each price
I charge middle-of-the-road rates and my credits come from the top of that list. That is the whole pitch, and it is the only reason to pick me over someone cheaper. If you want the longer version, I wrote up what actually drives mixing and mastering costs.
Common Questions
Why is this cheaper than a big studio? What’s the catch?
There isn’t one. A commercial studio charges you for a building, a staff and a day rate. I own my room and work on one song at a time, so what you’re paying for is my time and my gear, not overheads. The chain, the monitoring and the standard are the same ones I use on major-label work.
Do I need to buy mastering as well as a mix?
No. It’s already included. Every mixing package comes with the analog master. You only need the mastering-only service if the song is already mixed, by you or by someone else.
What if I need more revisions than the package includes?
First-time clients get unlimited revisions free with FIRSTMIX, so this rarely comes up. After that: Pro and the mastering services include three rounds, Elite and coaching are unlimited, and you can lift the cap on any project for $70. I’d rather you tell me it isn’t right than release something you’re unhappy with.
Do you discount albums and EPs?
Yes, significantly, and the discount grows with the track count. Multi-song projects also get sequenced and level-matched across the whole record, which per-song pricing doesn’t cover. Send me the number of songs and a rough release date and I’ll quote you.
Can I hear the difference before I pay?
Yes. There are before-and-after comparisons in seven genres on the mixing and mastering page. Real songs by independent artists, level-matched, so the only variable is the work.
