How do I prepare my files for upload?
Export each track as a separate WAV or AIFF file (24-bit, 44.1kHz or higher). Start all tracks at the same point in your timeline so they’re synced. Disable all effects on the master channel, but keep effects on individual tracks if they’re essential to your sound. We also accept Pro Tools, Logic and Studio One Sessions. Just make sure any Midi instruments or Virtual Instruments are converted to audio before sending.
What if I need changes after the first mix?
That’s what revisions are for! First-time clients get unlimited revisions included at no extra cost. We’ll refine the mix until you’re completely satisfied. Revision turnaround is typically 24-48 hours.
How long does the process take?
Initial mix and master typically takes 3-5 business days from when we receive your files. Revisions are turned around in 24-48 hours. Need it faster? We offer a 48-hour rush add-on.

What’s the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing is the process of balancing and blending all your individual tracks — vocals, instruments, drums — into a cohesive stereo file. Mastering is the final step that polishes that stereo mix for distribution, optimizing loudness, tone, and translation across all playback systems. Most artists need both, which is why we offer them as a combined service.
Can I just get my song mastered without mixing?
if you already have a professionally mixed stereo file, you can order mastering only starting at $70. Just make sure your mix has -3 to -6dB of headroom and no limiter on the master bus before sending.
Do you offer mixing only, without mastering?
We don’t, and it’s intentional. Sending an unmastered mix out into the world means your music competes on streaming platforms at a disadvantage — quieter, thinner, less polished than everything around it. Matty makes mixing decisions with the mastering stage already in mind, so the two work as one seamless process.
That said, if you’d prefer to have your project mastered elsewhere, Matty is happy to send you the unmastered mix — the price is the same either way. And if you have a specific situation you’d like to talk through, feel free to reach out directly.
Can I send a DAW session instead of stems?
Yes — Pro Tools, Studio One, Logic, and Ableton sessions are all accepted. Stems are preferred for faster turnaround, but if you’d rather send the session file, just let us know your DAW when you check out. Either way, please include a rough mix of how you’ve been listening to the song — that way we can make sure all the stems transferred correctly and nothing got lost in the handoff.
