I am a plugin junkie. I can’t stop buying them. If I had a dollar for everytime I said “this is the last reverb I will need” I would be rich.

That being said, if you are new to mixing, having too many plugins can really make a hard job even harder. I always suggest to people who are just starting to mix, to learn a few plugins well.

As I was giving this advice the other day it got me thinking. If I could only use 5 plugins for a mix what would they be? Here is the list!

  1. Very interesting, Matty! A reminder that the world of mx/master is a deep cavern of “stuff” which all seems so complicated!! LOL!

On my single guitar recordings, did you use any of these plug-ins? How did you apply them to my music?? Just curious!!
    Thanks again,
    Fred
