I am super excited to announce the first addition of music business Mondays. This will be a weekly blog post where I will share my experiences in the music business. I’m blessed to have made a living working in the music business for over 15 years. During that time I have experienced the highest points and the lowest points. That the music business has to offer. Some years you can make a ton of money and others you can be in the poor house. You really must learn how to save money when it’s coming in. My hope for these posts is to give you some insight into the music business and how it operates. Hopefully, some of the mistakes and issues I have encountered can help you on your path. So let’s get on with the first post: How to make it in the music business!

Now you might think that this first post is about tips and tricks on how you actually “make it” in the music business. However what I talk about is more so “what is” making it to YOU in the music business. The most important thing is to ask yourself this question. Do I want to be the next Drake? Or do I want to make some side income to help support my family? Understanding what your vision of making it is the key to success. That way you can set goals and track your progress. You can also have a more realistic approach to where your heading. Wanting to “make it” does nothing for you. You gotta have an actionable plan so that you have a path to follow. So please check out the video and join in on the discussion in the comments below. I would love to hear your thoughts, and some of the troubles you have had along this path of life.
