I’ve been using Vocalign for as long as it has been available. I always like to brag that I was one of the first engineers in Boston using it. People were blown away with what it could do. Is your vocal double off? No problem we can fix it in about 10 seconds!
There are two versions of Vocalign available. Vocalign Project and Vocalin Pro. They are almost the same except Vocalign Pro give you two significant advantages:
- The Maximum duration of alignment. Vocalign Pro gives you 300 seconds alignment compared to the 120 seconds that the project gives you. This can be a pretty big deal for long passages of music.
- Process Multiple Doubles at the same time. If you have a large session with 60 plus vocals, the ability to process multiple vocals at once can be a BIG time saver.
Other than that, you have a newer processing algorithm with Vocalign Pro and the ability toby process by time or frequency.
