Meet the Mixing Engineer
Matty Harris
Matty Harris is a mixing engineer and mastering engineer based in Los Angeles, California.
He started his online mixing and mastering business to help independent artists get professional mixing and mastering services so they can compete with major labels. Matty is a firm believe in artists staying independent and loves helping new artists get a leg up.
As a young musician he won several awards, most notably the best drummer in New England. He toured with jazz, blues, and calypso bands, playing bars and clubs at age 14.
He attended Berklee College of Music where he studied Music Production and Engineering, learning from some of the most accomplished mixing and mastering engineers in the industry.
After graduating he worked as a recording engineer and mixing engineer at some of the most noteworthy studios in Boston. There he met artist Sammy Adams — whose album Matty produced and mixed — became the first album to go #1 on iTunes independently.
After the success of Sammy’s album Matty moved to Los Angeles where within a year he worked on the Grammy Award-winning song “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson.
In 2019 Matty was chosen from 500 submissions to be one of the 21 people who got to travel to France and study with Jaycen Joshua and Dave Pensado. Matty described the experience as life-changing.
Recently Matty has worked with notable artists Cousin Stizz, Lil Yachty, Travis Barker, Cuco, Riah Raj, Daffy, and EricDOA.
